For the au pair themselves normally there should be no fees at all and in fact in the UK it is not legal for an agency to charge fees. In the EU some agencies charge screening or preparation fees to the girls before handing them over to their UK agency contacts. This effectively establishes a level of commitment from the girls.
Au pair Agency Fees to Families.
Typically families pay between fifty pounds and a couple of hundred depending on the level of screening and personal input that the agency offers. It can be particularly expensive for the agency to check references and documents and to establish face to face interviews and this increases the fees substantially.
