Why a "Guaranteed Aupair?"
The nature of au pairing has changed significantly with the opening up of European borders. So too has the nature of Au pair Agencies and so up to date information and links are essential. Yet the need for a guaranteed aupair has increased - not decreased over the years.
Originally the idea of aupairing was on the basis of cultural and language exchange rather than a salary earning position. This change has moved the type of aupairs, their timescales of employment and references significantly away from the original concept.
In the UK, an au pair must be a national of one of the following countries: Andorra, Faroe Islands, Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Greenland, San Marino, Bulgaria, Republic of Macedonia, Turkey, Croatia or Monaco. Girls from the traditional countries associated with aupairing - that is to say from the current EU are of course no longer included in the au pair scheme.
